A.

Horus, the son of Osiris and Isis, was the falcon-headed solar and sky god from ancient Egypt. According to legend, the left eye was torn from Horus by his murderous brother Seth during a struggle avenging the death of their father.

The eye was found shattered in pieces by Thoth, the God of magic. Thoth carefully restored the eye and returned it to Horus. Horus presented the restored eye to his dead father, who was then reborn. The eye of Horus subsequently has come to represent the power of healing and its Egyptian name (wedjat or udjat) means sound eye.

It is the all-seeing-eye which is said to protect the person who possesses it.
