It’s a good thing when your favorite frequented businesses become your clients! And even better when you get the chance to evolve their brand. Tim Klatt has run a very successful family Italian restaurant for decades. He also understands the importance of staying relevant in the eyes of his customers.

I was able to address his concerns with having only a four-color logo that was fairly complicated to reproduce. Keeping some of the visual connection the same, I shaped the brand to be more approachable. I achieved this through solid typography, an extended color palette, and providing simplified options. Tim gets a great deal of his business word-of-mouth and he sponsors many local schools and athletic clubs. This is why a one-color option for his logo was so important.

I have supported Lucia’s over many years through the transformation of his; identity, business cards, menu design, building and monument signage, as well as banners and ads. I have also provided consultation to influence the direction of his interior design remodel.

As Tim would say “Mangia! Mangia!”
